History (1997): Sutmyn Storage Acquires Memorex US Storage Division
In particular some 600 of Memorex customer sites
By Jean Jacques Maleval | September 10, 2021 at 1:31 pmSutmyn Storage Corp. has acquired the US storage activities of Memorex Telex NV to form a wholly-owned subsidiary, Sutmyn Storage Distribution Co.
The firm acquired in particular some 600 of Memorex’s customer sites. It will distribute Fujitsu’s tape drives and libraries, since the latter firm was an important OEM supplier for Memorex Telex, and will now work closely with the Japanese company to develop a line of innovative virtual tape storage solutions.
Sutmyn also formed an alliance with DecisionOne, a North American provider of maintenance and technology services, to ensure transition and services to its customers. Lastly, we have word that Kanematsu Limited, an international trading company, will provide strategic logistical support for Sutmyn.
