History (1993): Boeder Acquired European Branch of Memorex Computer Supplies

Boeder AG (Flösher am Main, Germany) has acquired the European branch of Memorex Computer Supplies, a subsidiary of Memorex Telex NV, in charge of computer-related consumable products.

But in fact only the stocks and the distribution licenses were taken over, and not the staff, being replaced or fired.

Less than 3 years ago, Boeder had already acquired RPS (Noisy-le-Grand, France), a manufacturer of magnetic media. According to Lutz Boeder, its chairman, Boeder counts 750 employees, 4 plants and 10 subsidiaries in Europe.

The German company reported DM237 million in 1992. Forecasts are DM250 million for the entire group in 1993 and 300 million in 1994.
