Cloud Object Storage is a SDS platform that can start with a few terabytes of storage and grow online to exabyte scalability with investment protection. With optimized access from any location, geodispersed efficiency, and concurrent and secure cloud-native accessibility, data remains available with massive scale that is easy to manage and cost-effective to use.
Following options are available for Cloud Object Storage Gen2 models A10, C10, and M10:
- A quad-port 10GBase-T NIC, delivering 10GBase-T, 5GBase-T, 2.5GBase-T, 1000Base-T, and 100Base-T Ethernet connectivity through CAT5e, CAT6, and CAT6A copper cabling.
- An IBM SFP28 Optical Module that allows a Cloud Object Storage system populated with a Cloud Object Storage 4×10/25 GbE NIC (FC:AJ5W) and these modules to achieve an aggregated throughput up to 100Gb/s.
Key requirements
- Cloud Object Storage software 3.15.8, or later, is required for 10GBaseTcard.
- Cloud Object Storage software 3.14.10, or later, is required for the SFP28 module.
