Including AT8M2x4, AT16Mx2, and AT8M2x2 models
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on March 3, 2021 at 2:21 pmUtran Technology, Inc. announced PCIe Gen4 8/16-bay M.2 storage card.
These support various form factors for user applications. It implements Broadcom PCIe Gen4 switch PEX88032 or PEX88048 in SKUs.
It is compatible with Intel and AMD platform and backwards compatible with any of legacy PCIe Gen3 platforms.
The PCIe switch-based storage card integrated port bifurcation function to any link width per port, It doesn’t need any bifurcation setting in BIOS, also no extra driver required. Broadcom PCIe Gen4 switch support hot-plug functions, including surprise add and remove, error recovery in switch port containment, read tracking protection for completion timeout.
All of hot-plug functions to prevent system entering BSOD while drive died suddenly or no response on non-posted requests. Maximum data-transfer rate reaches to 28GB/s in PCIe Gen4x16 speed for all 8/16-bays M.2 storage cards.
The customized FAN-sink with low noise FANs intends to provide the cooling performance to all M.2 drives.
AT8M2x4 is full-height half-length, with PCIe Gen4x4 link width to each drives, it offers the performance in individual M.2 drive.
AT16Mx2 is the maximum bays solution in PCIe Add-in card, supporting 16-bay M.2 drives with up to 128TB capacity.
AT8M2x2 is half-height, half-length low-profile add-in card form-factor, this allows user to install AT8M2x2 storage card in any compact PCs and 1U/2U height servers.
