UTran: UT34M2 NVMe RAID 4-Bay M.2 Drives Direct Attached PCIe Card

UTran Technology, Inc. announced a NVMe M.2 RAID card hardware-based RAID acceleration, that supports 4-bays M.2 drives direct attached.

The NVMe RAID card UT34M2 adopts broadcom tri-mode (SAS/SATA/NVMe) ROC SAS3516 with RAID functions and various OSs support.

It is a card providing high bandwidth and IO/s and is for high-end server utilizing internal storage.

UT34M2 is designed to deliver performance and data protection benefits for users, it is standard HHHL PCIe add-in card form factor, supports single side, double side mounting 2280 and 22110 size M.2 drives.

Key features:

  • PCIe 3.1 host interface, PCIe Gen3 x8 lanes at maximum transfer rate up to 64Gb/s

  • Device interface is PCIe Gen3 x4 per M.2 slot.

  • Hardware-based RAID solution that supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60.

  • Off-load backup at power fail using ONFI (Supercap required), with bad block management.

  • Implemented 4GB 72-bit DDR4-2133 SDRAM providing hardware RAID assist engine for parity calculations.

  • On-board LEDs for M.2 drives and RAID card status indications.

  • Buzzer beeping for any of RAID card failure conditions.
