From Buffalo Americas, LinkStation 700 and LinkStation SoHo 700 NAS Systems

Buffalo Americas, Inc. announced LinkStation 700 and the LinkStation SoHo 700 families of NAS solutions.

The LinkStation 700 family is available in 1– and 2-bay desktop form factors while the LinkStation SoHo 700 family is available in a 2-bay desktop form factor. These devices provide home and small office users alike with a storage solution that features the security, stability, and simplicity of the company’s NAS.

The LinkStation 700 and SoHo 700 devices are designed to manage multiple concurrent data transfers, and aim to deliver performance storage even under heavy data load operations. Each LinkStation unit features a hexa-core processor to handle intensive multitasking and a native 2.5GbE port to effect 2.5x times faster transfer speed than 1GbE. For users, this enables a boost in productivity for their networks without the need to upgrade to CAT6 cabling. LinkStation 700 units also offer native DTCP-IP support, allowing home users to manage recorded media or simultaneously stream to multiple DLNA TVs without interruptions.

Linkstation Soho 700 Series Desktop

Known to provide the secure storage, these LinkStation families are no exception. The NAS devices run on closed systems, eliminating third-party root access and reducing vulnerabilities to various cyberthreats. These NAS also supports integration with Dropbox, Microsoft Azure, and OneDrive for flexible storage and backup, for storing most important data in a central location while still being able to access it securely and from anywhere.

The SoHo 700 offers a range of backup options, and qualifies for the company’s free simple logical data recovery service when registered, so you can save large amounts of data to the LinkStation with peace of mind. For small office users with UPS devices, the LinkStation SoHo 700 features a UPS sync function that allows the device on a UPS to shut down if there is a power outage, thereby preventing possible data loss.

Each LinkStation SoHo 700 unit also comes with a 3-year warranty.
