Buffalo Americas, Inc. announced 2 capacities for the TeraStation 51210RH 12-bay rackmount family of NAS solutions.

The TS51210RH is a NAS solution for SMBs seeking performance RAID-based storage that allows businesses to free up server space while experiencing zero performance loss. As with all company’s NAS devices, users will enjoy 24/7 US-based pre- and post-sales support and, when registered, these 12-bay devices come with the firm’s logical data recovery service as well as a 5-year warranty service.

The company has recognized the demand for higher capacity NAS and the ease of plug and play to fulfill current and future storage needs without hassle. That is why the TS51210RH is available in 2 configurations, both with 12TB enterprise-grade HDDs included. The first configuration ships with 12 HDDs included, with a total capacity of 192TB; the second configuration is a partially-populated model that ships with 4 HDDs included, equaling 64TB total capacity. The partially-populated model allows users to access performance storage at lower starting prices. while providing the flexibility for future expansion.

The TS51210RH is for organizations looking to add server expansion by utilizing virtualized servers in an iSCSI-SAN. With its VMware-certified iSCSI capability, it also performs well in enterprise-sized environments, as it is designed to run concurrent services (such as virtualized server backups) simultaneously with minimal performance degradation. The device also supports integration with Dropbox, Amazon S3, and Microsoft Azure and OneDrive to create secure on-premise hybrid clouds. The NAS’s users will also enjoy hardware features such as DDR3 ECC RAM and dual native 10GbE ports that are backwards compatible with 5GbE, 2.5GbE, and 1GbE. Fan and rail kit are included, and optional redundant power supplies are also available.
