StorageNewsletter, launched in 1988 by Jean-Jacques Maleval, was originally a 16 pages monthly newsletter published on paper. With the Internet boom confirmed impacting lots of information editorial and distribution activities and accessibility, he morphed in November 2007 the publication into an online site known as StorageNewsletter.com. The press title was published by Micro-Journal, a french company founded in 1976, having published various tiles such as Le Courrier de la Microcopie (on micrographics), Reproduire (on photocopying and printing), Mémoires Optiques (later MOS, on the archiving and optical disc industry), as well as a weekly paper on basketball, Micro-Basket.
One of the strengths of StorageNewsletter is the international scope, based on a wide range of information sources worldwide. All the news are written in English, but local German and French news, sometimes others, are published in their own language. Readers can find daily news as mentioned but also market and technology analysis, financial reports, opinions and comments, editorials, companies’ profile and leaders interviews or event summaries and recaps.
