UItraBac V.11.2.1 Image Backup and DR Software for Windows
Fast bare metal recovery solution for CrowdStrike, blue screen, and ransomware events, enabling recovery of unbootable machines (or when encrypted with ransomware) to 100% operational state in 15mn
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on August 16, 2024 at 2:01 pmUltraBac Software announces UItraBac v11.2.1 which provides a fast, simple-to-use image backup and DR solution for Windows users enabling the recovery of unbootable machines (or when encrypted with ransomware) to a 100% operational state in 15mn.
To perform a ‘bare metal disaster recovery’ (BMR) simply boot from UltraBac’s flexible WinPE based boot media. Select the restore source (from disk, UNC, NAS/SAN, tape, cloud, TSM, etc.) to initiate a disk or partition level restore from the selected PIT backup. After the restore a final reboot returns the machine to a fully operational state (eliminating the root cause such as a bad device driver, ransomware infection, or configuration update like from CrowdStrike or the July 2024 Microsoft security update).
UltraBac supports 2 levels of BMR. Express Mode simplifies a BMR operation by saving all restore criteria which enables a lightning fast restore to the same hardware in just a few clicks.
Advanced Mode enables administrators to perform comprehensive dissimilar hardware restores, quickly recover a corrupted or missing Boot Record, and can be used to increase/decrease a partition’s size during the recovery process.
For cloud backups UltraBac supports immutability. Backups can be written directly to your cloud account or first written to local storage and then copied to the cloud for a duplicate offsite backup.
For tape users UltraBac can write directly to all tape devices (including autoloaders) or a backup can first be written to local storage and then copy to tape for a duplicate backup. The tape backup process writes indexes both locally and to the tape. With an index on the tape it can be sent anywhere for direct file/folder/partition restores or to perform a same or dissimilar hardware BMR recovery operation.
While UltraBac can be licensed expressly for image based BMR, it can also be used for replication with near instant recovery, agentless VM backup, file-by-file backup, SQL/Exchange backup, and backup/restore to IBM TSM.
With CloudStrike’s disastrous update crashing 8.5 million computers WW, download UltraBac now to test the 1st (and still the best) bare metal DR solution for Windows. If CrowdStrike crashed computers in your organization UltraBac is pleased to offer server, endpoint, and workstation licenses for 50% off list price purchases over $995 thru November 30, 2024.
UltraBac was 1st released to protect Windows NT servers in 1995 and was first to market for image backup with bare metal disaster recovery in 2002.
