ProGrade Digital, Inc. announces its higher capacity CFexpress 4.0 Type A, VPG200 memory cards in the Iridium product line.

These performance cards offer a read speed of up to 1,800MB/s, write speed of up to 1,700MB/s, and sustained write speeds of 800MB/s and 1,450MB/s respectively, enabling the capture of even longer clips of high-resolution video and/or greater amounts of still images. The CFexpress Type A Iridium cards bring high performance to cinema, DSLRs, and mirrorless cameras, which produce rich data streams and require greater capacity from a memory card.

In conjunction with the Type A Iridium cards, the company announces its new USB 4.0 card reader, a single-slot card reader designed specifically for the latest CFexpress 4.0 (PCIe Gen 4) Type A memory cards. The PG09.6 reader is based on the latest USB 4.0 technology which is designed to achieve speeds of up to 40Gb/s. It is also equipped with ProGrade’s patented magnetic base and an adhesive metal plate that allows users to mount the reader to any work surface, such as the back of a laptop. The new reader is also supplied with a certified USB 4.0 cable for performance. It is compatible with Thunderbolt 4 and 3 ports.
