John Kelley, 52, will replace Jack McDonell in the position of CEO of McData.

Keley joined the switch maker in August 2001 as president and COO.

Co-founder McDonnell will continue as chairman.

Meanwhile, the company promoted Mike Gustafson from VP WW sales to SVP WW marketing, succeeding VP marketing Richard Search who left the company.
