This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 3, 2022 at 3:05 pmDigiever Corp. announced that firmware 73 is launched for Linux-embedded NVR UHD and Pro+ series.
In this version, it develops many functionalities including backup, event and action management and NVRPlayer. Based on its all-in-one NVR functionality, firmware 73 brings NVR to a new level of versatility and capability that delivers more value to the company’s IP video surveillance solution.
FTP cloud backup solution
NVR provides multiple video backup solutions to backup recorded videos to external devices, including local devices (DigiArray and USB devices) or remote devices (NAS). Depending on backup requirements, users can make suitable backup schedule plans or manually backup specific videos for long-term video preservation. From FW73, NVR starts to support video backup to FTP server that allows users to easily upload recorded video on the sharing FTP cloud storage, which makes video backup solution more flexible and scalable for diverse vertical markets.

NVR features devices web link connection allowing users to access desired web devices through a customizable shortcut list from remote liveview or playback page. In FW73, users can add up to 50 weblinks as ‘my favorites’ including but not limited to web devices, online technical support, round on-duty table or any other useful links for emergent checkups remotely. It can be used as a bulletin for visitors.
Diversified event and action management
In modern network surveillance system, numerous cameras are often deployed to cover diversity area. It is hard for a security manager to efficiently monitor so many cameras at one time. By setting up triggering events will help security manager to deal with the situation in an appropriate manner. To avoid incidental loss and solve the event, the company’s NVR provides 32 event types and 19 action types allowing users to be notified instantly when an event is triggered.
This version adds 2 new events:
-
Camera low FPS (Frame/second):
The function is designed for fast-moving sites/projects such as banks, train stations, city surveillance and casinos. When the FPS is too low, it is possible to lose an occasional frame. Therefore, low FPS alarm can ensure critical moments’ videos are well recorded. -
NTP time sync failed:
It is important to properly sort events and transactions into chronological order especially when an event occurs in a video surveillance system, which can help users to quickly notice and solve any suspicious activities found in recorded videos.
In order to ensure NTP time sync is running properly, NVR offers 3 external NTP server options to ensure NTP time sync executes completely in case one of external NTP servers is disconnected incidentally. When the primary NTP time sync is failed, NVR will send out a notification and synchronize its time with another 2 external NTP servers sequentially to keep the system date and time synchronized.
NVRPlayer optimization: better playback experience than ever.
NVRPlayer is a portable, installation-free utility developed by the company. It is a dedicated player for NVR users to view the recorded videos exported from the firm’s NVR. Users can view the exported videos by one channel playback or multi-channel playback from the playlist.
One channel playback
In FW73, NVRPlayer offers drag-and-drop operation by adding multiple files at one time. Once the videos are added to NVRPlayer, all videos will be auto-played sequentially. Moreover, the ‘Play all videos from the same camera in the folder’ feature makes playback more efficient, especially when users focus on checking videos of a specific camera. Users can select one video of the specific camera and all videos of the selected camera will be listed in NVRPlayer’s camera list.
Multi-channel playback
NVRPlayer supports multi-channel playback via playlist which is exported from instant export, exporting up to 16-channel videos while playing recorded videos on a PC. The playlist will keep precisely channel, start time and end time, which is the same condition as playback recorded videos on NVR. Users can find out crucial moments of recorded videos while playback with NVRPlayer.

With integration continuously, the firm’s IP surveillance solution brings its partners to create business value in diverse markets.
Additional features in FW73:
-
Up to 128x Fast Forward Speed Playback: to increase local playback efficiency.
-
Disable Telnet and IP forward: to provide flexible settings for projects with high security concern.
-
Optimized Log-in Status for Current Users: to helps admin/power users to stay greater awareness when there is any suspicious or abnormal login (users or devices) listed.
-
Export and playback video with On-screen Display (OSD): to export videos in general AVI format with OSD files (.srt). Users can enable subtitles to display date/time and camera information on the video during playback via other media players such as Windows Media Player or VLC Player.
