Solidigm Opens Operations Center In Poland

It is planning to occupy the space in the Alpha Airport City building by the end of the calendar year. The Gdańsk center will support the needs of engineers focused on developing advanced firmware and software to power the storage devices of tomorrow.

We selected Tricity because of the location’s position as a tech hub, which supports global talent and a strong education system,” said Wlodzimierz Piotrowski, site lead, Solidigm Poland. “The new facility provides great proximity to nearby technology partners, room for growth, and, of course, the quality of life and proximity to the sea also played a part in this decision.

Invest in Pomerania, a regional non-profit initiative, had significant impact on the Gdańsk center’s opening coordination. Active acquisition of investors and supporting them through uneasy process of relocation results in strengthening Pomeranian’s position in tech sector. The demand for IT specialists is still rising, so new initiatives to encourage foreign parties to invest in a region are being developed.

Welcoming new partners is always a pleasure. Seeing Solidigm in Tricity is proof that our initial focus on making the region more investment competitive is working,” said Mieczysław Struk, Marshal of the Pomorskie Voivodeship.

Solidigm is currently recruiting for firmware and software engineer roles with different levels of experience.

Team members from Solidigm Poland recently gave of their time to assist students in need by buying and preparing school supplies and refurbishing secondhand PCs to be used for remote learning and schoolwork.
