Company Biography
Pattaya is a bustling coastal city that rose to prominence in the early 1980s and has since remained one of Thailand’s most popular vacation spots.

It is a self-governing municipal jurisdiction that includes smaller districts. It is known for its unspoilt nature, beautiful islands and beaches, and tranquil forests, in addition to its exotic nightlife. Each of the beaches has its own distinct feature and vibe and there is a range of beaches to choose from. After dusk, the nightlife is something that is worth witnessing, where the streets of Pattaya get all lit up. Hundreds of thousands of visitors are drawn each year to Pattaya to windsurf, water ski, swim, sunbathe, snorkel, sail, or take trips to nearby islands.

The local authority has been improving the public safety through CCTV system. Originally the CCTV system was purchased to manage traffic in Pattaya. However, during the years that have followed it has been expanded to provide increased security for the millions that visit every year on vacation. The system keeps expanding to covers parks, beaches and shopping areas. Recently, the system has also encompassed schools, places of worship and a hospital.

The project has been carried out as part of the cooperation between the city government, Point IT Consulting Co. Ltd. and Qsan. Challenge
As the need to carry the entire Pattaya City under 24-hour surveillance to build a stable, resilient and flexible CCTV platform that can be used by the Pattaya City Hall control room, a reliable SAN solution with HA is vital to sustain high capacity and high RW performance to prevent frame loss in camera image collection particularly in the new stage of massively deploying 2,000 pcs of CCTV cameras. The goal of this upgraded CCTV system is to enhance the services of public safety and urban mobility.

Point IT Consulting was responsible for specifying, designing, and installing the system. It will also act as local responders for rectification and maintenance. To meet such critical performance demand and budget concern, they choose Teleste IP video management system (VMS) and Qsan XS1212D as a main storage for video recording and failover backup across whole Pattaya deployment. The data collected via VMS is also used as data source for AI-enabled traffic management system (TMS).
