As clients continue to need more capacity, IBM Elastic Storage System (ESS) offers additional flash and disk drive options on ESS 3200 and ESS 5000 models, respectively.
The introduction of the 38.4TB useable (TBu) NVMe FlashCore Module on ESS 3200 will increase the capacity to 912TB per 2U node. With the 18TB disk drive, ESS 5000 models SL1 through SL7 offer up to 11.5PB of raw capacity in a single building block (SL7 model).
Note: TBu is terabytes (decimal) usable capacity.
Key requirements: 38.4TBu NVMe FlashCore Module (feature number AJP7) requires ESS 6.1.2.0.
