Convergence of new products to offer performances and agility
Scaleway (groupe Iliad) continues to expand its ranges of dedicated and Bare Metal servers in order to provide a complete user experience, adapted to clients’ needs.
After launching a bare metal server last month, this year-end has been marked by several new models for each of the company‘s product categories. Te firm confirms its status as a multi-cloud player by developing products which allow the creation of environments favorable to mixed infrastructures.
“Scaleway continues its growth by launching new ultra-high capacity Bare Metal offers as well as the long-awaited new gen of Dedibox dedicated servers – Gen. 7. We are therefore cementing our position as a key player in the European public cloud sector, with products which are designed by ecosystem and open to the multi cloud. As such, one of our priorities is to group our dedicated servers with Scaleway’s 2015 pioneering offer – Bare Metal. Hybrid infrastructures combining both dedicated and cloud servers are proven to be more relevant and deploy faster, especially when it comes to test environments, load balancing, overloading, storage and big data processing. Our objective is twofold – maintain the level of service of our longtime clients, and support their progressive shift to the more flexible, more user-friendly cloud model which is better adapted to new digital projects. This is why our teams are also working on the development of future network features and new options,” explains Yann Lechelle, CEO.
Ultimate Bare Metal offers for extreme usage
The company recently launched Ultimate Performance, a 100% dedicated cloud server range available hourly with record performances. It meets the critical needs of companies confronted with increasing data processing requirements and the demand for reliability in the cloud.
To inaugurate this, the company has designed XL (UP-BM2-XL), a bare metal server on the market. It server offers 448 2.7GHz threads, 7.68TB fast memory, 20.6TB NVMe storage, and 10 to 25Gb bandwidth.
Bare Metal UP-BM2-M AMD model is also available for clients
Equipped with 2 AMD EPYC 7742 processors delivering a total of 128 cores and 256 threads, as well as 2,048GB of memory, this server covers use cases such as intensive data processing, performance streaming or the management of memory and parallel computing intensive applications from €7.199 per hour. Another advantage is that with only 2 processors for such high performance, this is an offer when compared with operating licenses which are often charged by CPU usage.
More Bare Metal server offers and other features will be released soon, to complete the range further and provide clients with additional options to meet their needs.
New gen of firm’s Dedibox servers
The infrastructure used by the majority of traditional companies still widely relies on dedicated Dedibox servers which provide performance, reliability, an high level of control and security, and competitive pricing. To meet this need, the Dedibox is continuing to broaden its offerings with its mid-December launch of servers integrating the latest technologies.
Six new references in the Core range, and 3 references in the Pro range are planned, with up to 25Gb/s public and private bandwidth, and the option to tailor hardware with add-ons.
These offers strengthen the firm‘s position as a provider dedicated servers segment, and also for Bare Metal. The company has a whole ecosystem of professional solutions upon which demanding hybrid architectures can be built.
