Mark Leslie Board’s Director, HeartVista

HeartVista, Inc., in AI-assisted MRI solutions, announced that entrepreneur and industry veteran Mark Leslie has joined its board of directors.

He was the co-founder, chairman and CEO of VERITAS Software.

He was the founding chairman and CEO of VERITAS Software. During his tenure as CEO, the company went from 12 employees to 6,000 employees deployed globally, and from a revenue base of $95,000 per year to $1,5 billion per year. In 2000,the firm was the 10th largest independent software company by revenue, third largest by market capitalization, and achieved the distinction of becoming a Fortune 1000 Company.

From 1980 until 1990 he served as president and CEO of two Silicon Valley high-tech start-up companies. His prior experience included sales management, sales executive, systems engineer, and OS software engineer.

He is currently a Lecturer at the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he teaches courses in entrepreneurship, ethics and sales organization. He is also the MD of Leslie Ventures, a private investment company. He has served on over 50 public and private boards including Avaya, Big Switch, Brocade, Liquid Robotics, Model N, NetApp, Nutanix, Pure Storage, SeaMicro, Skybox, SugarCRM, Veritas, VMware, WebEx, and Zerto. He is on the boards of non-profit organizations including NYU Board of Trustees, the board of directors of Stanford Health Care (Stanford Hospital and Medical School), and Leslie Family Foundation.

He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in physics and mathematics from New York University in 1966 and completed Harvard Business School’s Program for Management Development (PMD) in 1980.
