This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on September 27, 2019 at 2:19 pmEuroson America, Inc. launches an archiving-as-a-service solution which enables organizations to archive old and inactive data to the cloud at an affordable fixed monthly cost.
There are no additional charges or hidden fees to ingest data, browse, copy, or retrieve data from the archive.
Euroson’s Archive-as-a-Service solution combines PoINT Storage Manager software with Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage. Customers pay a fixed monthly cost based upon a defined maximum data volume, which includes software updates and technical support. Data volume can be expanded as needed.
PoINT Storage Manager is a data management and tiering software solution that uses policies to automatically and transparently archive inactive data from Windows Servers, EMC VNX, EMC Isilon, NetApp FAS, or any CIFS or NFS file system, to a variety of storage devices and cloud providers. Data can be retrieved from the original file location via stubs and hyperlinks, and a web browser allows users to browse and download archived data from any location.
“The extremely low cost per terabyte with no fees for egress or API requests makes Wasabi Hot Cloud the ideal hosted storage for use with PoINT Storage Manager’s ‘active access’ archive solution. A native WORM file system, retention management, audit logging, and encryption in-transit and at rest make Euroson’s Archive-as-a-Service a great archiving solution for organizations of any size, especially when regulatory compliance is a requirement,” said Paul Greene, director of sales and marketing, Euroson.
“Euroson has done a tremendous job bringing together two leading solutions as a service, creating a win-win solution for their customers to optimize their data archiving with a strong price/performance model,” said Jennifer Kula, VP alliances and channels, Wasabi.
