• Data encryption support for transparent cloud tiering
• Transparent cloud tiering support for Global Mirror and Metro Global Mirror
• Thin provisioning enhancements

Key prerequisites
All announced features and functions that are supported on the IBM DS8000 series require DS8000 LMC 8.8.50.xx.xx (bundle version 88.50.xxx.xx), or later.
