Cristie Software Opens Office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Cristie Software Ltd, a provider of machine mobility and recovery software, announced the appointment of Andrew Martin as VP for sales and marketing, South East Asia (SEA) with an initial team of four people and an office in Kuala Lumpur.

The team will provide local pre-sales and post-sales support to customers and drive the expansion of Cristie’s business in the region.

“I have known Andrew for over 10 years and he has immense knowledge and experience of the backup and recovery market as well as excellent contacts in the SEA region” said Ian Cameron, CEO, Cristie. “Since moving to Asia in 2007 he has served as VP APAC for BakBone Software, Inc. and most recently as VP APAC, Tandberg Data.“

 Andrew commented: “We intend to build on our already strong relationships with IBM and EMC as well as to develop business with channel partners in the region for CBMR and our unique server migration product Clone Manager. I am very excited by this opportunity to work with an innovative and fast growing company. Cristie is already very well regarded in Asia and this investment in local technical, sales and marketing resource should accelerate growth in the region“
