Reporting directly to Pat Clarke, CEO of Tandberg Data, Martin is responsible for developing the channel and OEM business, as well as managing day-to-day operations, administration, sales and marketing in the region.

"Andrew has had a very successful 15-year track record of developing partner relationships across Asia Pacific and the European regions," said Pat Clarke. "We look forward to tapping his considerable channel expertise and his deep industry know-how, and believe his leadership will play no small part in Tandberg Data’s revenue growth in this promising region moving forward."

Before joining Tandberg Data, Martin worked for BakBone Software as the vice president of sales and marketing for Asia. Prior to this role, Martin was co-founder and managing director of Otium Software, where he was responsible for all aspects of the business, including the eventual acquisition by BakBone. Prior to Otium, Martin held senior sales positions for a multitude of industry leading storage vendors, including Cheyenne Software (now CA), DEC, BMC Software and Veritas.

"Tandberg Data provides a suite of very diverse data protection offerings for the channel," said Martin. "I plan to make significant investments of time and talent with our partners, systems integrators and ISVs."

Martin holds a BSc degree in Sociology with Computing from Loughborough University of Technology in the UK.

We don't see anymore the name of Bharat Kumar who was VP of sales and marketing for AsiaPac since August 2009 in the staff of Tandberg. Kumar also came from BakBone where he served as VP of marketing since November, 2004.
