Traxdata/Ritek With new Branding and Adding SSDs

Ultra-S Plus MLC (up to 128GB) and SLC (up to 64GB) flash drives

Based in Ridderkerk, The Netherlands, Traxdata, a manufacturer of optical and flash media products, launches its range of solid state drives (SSD) alongside its new brand identity today.

In a world where there are an ever increasing choice of storage devices all with different benefits, Traxdata’s new branding and design makes it even easier for users to identify the different product ranges with a simple but effective colour coding system and highlighted key features.

The new SSD range includes the Ultra-S Plus Series multi-level cell (MLC) and the Ultra-S Plus Series single-level cell (SLC) in order to suit a variety of needs. The Ultra-S Plus Series MLC is available in varying sizes of 32, 64 and 128 GB and allows users to read up to 110MB of data per second and write up to 78MB per second; while the Ultra-S Plus Series SLC reads up to 119MB per second and writes up to 99MB per second and is available in 32 and 64 GB.

SSD is a particularly stable and reliable storage solution as there are no mechanical moving parts like there are in a traditional hard disk drive. A SSD drive therefore allows faster access to data and eliminates the risk of mechanical failure.

Compared to traditional hard disk drives, this means that SSD is virtually noise free so it removes the tedious whirr and hum of conventional drives.

This product will also appeal to keen gamers who prefer the quieter and cooler NAND flash technology that is used in SSD products as it improves performance and therefore provides smoother game play.

Guido Liber, sales and marketing director said: “We have seen market demand from system integrators for SSD grow over the last year, suggesting that this will be a popular storage medium in the future. We now expect to grow into both professional and consumer markets. SSD is a simple and effective alternative to the traditional hard disk drive and I believe that users will find its benefits invaluable. They will no longer have to put up with hot, noisy computers or having to carry around heavy notebooks. Hard disk drives are fragile and often become completely unreadable because of any slight damage. Solid state drives are just that, solid. They provide a reliable and durable way store your documents and files.”

The chips used in SSD are resistant to vibration, shock and extreme changes in temperature, ensuring business users are further protected from losing valuable data. Static wear-leveling algorithm prolongs the SSD lifecycle by one hundred times, and a built-in error correcting code function that detects and corrects inaccuracies ensures data reliability. Other benefits to office users include faster access to files and storage servers, and faster rebooting of the computer. SSD is also much lighter than hard disk drives offering business users the benefit of a lightweight laptop.

Commenting on the new brand design, Liber added: “The number of products in the flash industry is growing and it is important to keep adjusting our packaging design in order to offer a clear and understandable range to our customers. In addition to this more and more people are taking digital photos and sourcing their entertainment from the Internet. As a result a broader range of people are using storage devices but they don’t necessarily understand the technical details. We’ve redesigned our brand to help keep storage simple and accessible to everyone.

The Traxdata Ultra-S Plus Series is available to buy from Conrexx Technology BV.
