Acronis Launches DR Resource for Government and Public Sector Organizations

With a new Web site containing a resource for best practices on secure backup and recovery

Acronis, Inc. has launched an extension to its web site to aid government and public sector organizations in their business continuity planning.

Now available, the web site is a resource for best practices on secure backup and quick recovery of computer systems and data. It also provides information on compliance requirements, products, reseller parties and integrators that specialize in serving the government sector.
The need for government entities to continue operating — even in the event of emergencies or disasters — is absolute. Maintaining and restoring computer systems is a critical part of Continuity of Operation (COOP) and Continuity of Government (COG) planning. Government agencies and educational institutions rely on Acronis software for disaster recovery, migration and improved data availability.

"Bringing a superior product to the table is only half the equation when working with an IT vendor. Acronis is a valued partner that has a strong knowledge of our needs, making it easy to integrate new technologies and evolve with ever changing requirements," said John Samborski, VP of Government Sales for Ace Computers. "This web site is a great resource for organizations that want to deploy a COOP/COG program."

"Acronis has a long history of working with government customers including the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. House of Representatives, National Aeronautics and Space Administration and numerous other agencies," said AJ Narula, manager of federal sales at Acronis. "We understand their specific challenges and opportunities and want to continually arm them with the right tools, strategies and products for success."
