MetaLINCS Delivers Enterprise E-Discovery 4.5

MetaLINCS, a Seagate Technology company, announced a new version of the MetaLINCS Enterprise E-Discovery technology, release 4.5, raising the industry standard for accuracy, speed and productivity across the electronic data discovery life cycle. The new release offers 2X processing speed improvements through 64 bit architecture support, and new technology to take advantage of its streaming pipeline architecture. The new release also provides work product sharing between cases, enhanced thread analysis and support for the Electronic Data Reference Model (EDRM) XML standard.

“MetaLINCS Enterprise E-Discovery 4.5 performance enhancements, coupled with our high degree of accuracy, enable users to dramatically cull down massive amounts of data and then apply world class content analysis to perform early case assessment and prepare for meet and confer. The new features include:

• Processing Speed Boost Via 64-bit Support – MetaLINCS Enterprise E-Discovery 4.5 64-bit edition runs on 64-bit operating systems and x64 hardware to provide greater scalability and an immediate performance boost of approximately 2X by taking full advantage of additional server memory. The intensive processing loads common in E-Discovery make it an ideal application for 64-bit computing.
• Performance Increase through Search and Analysis Clustering – Leverages MetaLINCS streaming-pipeline architecture by clustering the search and analysis core technology to boost performance on large cases doing processing simultaneous with analysis and review. Automatically synchronizes to instantaneously provide end-users with access to newly indexed content.
• Enhanced Email Thread Analysis – Already a leader in analysis-powered E-Discovery, MetaLINCS E-Discovery 4.5 enhanced email thread analysis provides even more capability for early case assessment and preparation for review. MetaLINCS Thread Analysis organizes all of the messages in a thread along with related threads. Reviewers greatly improve their productivity and accuracy by being able to quickly determine who all of the participants were, what attachments they received and graphically see the relationship between the various related discussions. Release 4.5 adds additional detail such as the precise branch, reason for a thread branch and key meta-data changes. New side by side content display further speeds the review process.
• Work-Product Migration – Built-in scripts allow work product to be automatically migrated between cases that share content. This feature allows collaboration between multiple teams simultaneously working on several cases saving time and improving organizational efficiencies.
• EDRM XML Compliance – MetaLINCS Enterprise E-Discovery 4.5 is fully compliant with EDRM’s Extensible Markup Language (XML) standard, EDRM XML 1.0, for both reading and writing XML load files, which makes it possible to process XML load files from a variety of other industry tools with greater reliability.
