HighPoint PCI-Express x4 SAS RAID Controller

HighPoint Technologies is announcing that the low cost PCI-Express x4 SAS RAID controller – RocketRAID 2640×4 has received ‘Certified for Windows Vista and Server 2008’ from Microsoft’s Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL).
 
With Microsoft WHQL certification (OEMs), (SIs) and end users can utilize the RocketRAID 2640×4 SAS RAID controller to work efficiently and optimally with Microsoft Windows Vista and Server 2008 versions. Customers can be confident when using the RocketRAID 2640×4 since the products is designed to meet the Microsoft set of standards for ease of use and reliability in Windows Vista and Server 2008.
 
The low cost RocketRAID 2640×4 is a 4 channel PCI-Express x4 SAS RAID controller supporting RAID levels (0, 1, 5, 10 and JBOD) and offers great flexibility to support either 15,000 RPM SAS hard drives for performance or lower priced SATA drives for capacity. The ability to deploy either type of drives allows the computer system to be optimized for specific application and cost requirements. Disks with the SAS interfaces are designed to meet the high performance and reliability characteristics required for server arrays running Windows Sever 2008 and high end gaming systems running Windows Vista.
