Spare Backup in Five Year Agreement With i/o Data Centers

To expand storage capacity to 24PB by the 4Q08

Spare Backup, Inc. has entered into an agreement with i/o Data Centers at its Arizona data storage facility, and will expand the capacity of that facility to approximately 8 petabytes by the end of the 3rd quarter. Additionally, Spare Backup intends to add up to 16 petabytes of storage in i/o Data Centers’ new Colorado data center during the 4th quarter. This will increase Spare Backup’s total capacity with i/o Data Centers to 24 petabytes by the end of the 4th quarter of 2008. i/o Data Centers is a state-of-the-art data center provider utilizing advanced green technologies to drive environmental and cost efficiencies.

The capacity increases are being completed to support several nationwide and international launches with a number of key partners in the U.S. and Europe expected to begin in April of 2008. Management believes that the agreement with i/o Data Centers will lower overall storage costs as i/o provides energy-efficient mass storage for its customers.

Commenting on this expansion, Cery Perle, President and CEO of Spare Backup, Inc. stated: "Our paid customer base continues to grow, and we believe the next several quarters should see a significant ramp as a number of new and expanded partnerships begin launching in the 2nd and 3rd quarters of 2008.  We believe the potential for mass adoptions from these new programs made it necessary to expand our capacity to levels commensurate to handle the anticipated take rates.  We believe these steps will provide our partners with the scalability needed to support their roadmaps and we anticipate the next six months will be pivotal for our company’s growth."

Anthony Wanger of i/o Data Centers stated: "Spare Backup is a valued customer and we are pleased that they have decided to grow their business with i/o Data Centers. i/o Data Centers is committed to the growth and success of its customers and continues to make digital grade space and data grade power its first priority."
