InfiniVault From ProStor Compatible With CommVault Simpana Software

ProStor Systems announced
interoperability between its InfiniVault
archive appliance and CommVault’s Simpana
Data Archiver and Exchange Compliance Archiver software. When used in
combination with ProStor’s disk-based
archiving and compliance appliance, CommVault
Archive software enables enterprise customers to fully manage, protect
and archive data to mitigate business risk.

CommVault’s award-winning Simpana
software is designed from the ground up to work together seamlessly by
using a single code base and set of common services for backup,
recovery, replication, archive and retrieval operations. This singular
approach to data management delivers operational efficiencies that were
previously impossible.

Combined with ProStor’s InfiniVault, which
blends the online access and high-performance benefits of disk-based
solutions with the security and infinite scalability of RDX
removable media, the joint solution provides users with the ability to
migrate aged data to archive, quickly retrieve archived data and meet
regulatory compliance requirements in a cost-effective and timely manner.
