German VAD Stordis New OEM for Dot Hill
Will integrate the 2000 and 5000 series into its Stordis' Snapstor storage arrays

equipment manufacturer agreement with Stuttgart based Stordis GmbH.
Under the
terms of the agreement, Stordis will integrate Dot Hill’s high-performance
modular storage systems of the 2000 and 5000 series into the product family of
Stordis’ Snapstor storage arrays. Stordis will market these arrays through
distributors, storage resellers and system integrators throughout Europe.
Stordis is a new German value-adding distributor focused on storage and
networking solutions. The company delivers these solutions on a European-wide
basis. Stordis distributes Dot Hill’s disk arrays for SAS and SATA II disks.
Each 2000 series RAID chassis supports the loading of up to 12 disks. With the
addition of a JBOD or disk enclosure, the total disk capacity can be increased
to 56 disks. The 5000 series extends this capacity to a maximum of 108 disks
with a total capacity of up to 108 TB per system. The 5000 series will support
NEBS-Level 3 and MIL-STD-810F certification, making it ideal for
telecommunications and military use. Stordis’ Snapstor product family offers
high performance, high availability and various software features with these
platforms.
The OEM partnership between Stordis and Dot Hill is the latest in a series
of OEM relationships announced by Dot Hill. The company’s unique business
model has enabled Dot Hill’s OEM partners to provide their customers with
competitive products while lowering development costs and accelerating time to
market.
