Data Domain Starts Operations in Research Triangle Park

Data Domain announced that it will establish
a new Operations
Center in North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park.

The new
facility will
house additional Engineering, Customer Support and Inside
Sales personnel
to help fuel the Company’s continued expansion. Data Domain
also announced
the appointment of Ken Hibbard to Vice President of Engineering
and East
Coast operations. With his appointment, Hibbard will assume
responsibility
for the new East Coast-based facility and its staff.

Hibbard comes to Data Domain from Network Appliance, where
he was Vice
President of Product Engineering. He joined Network Appliance
in 1998 and
was named Vice President of Software Development in February
of 2000. In
January of 2001, he became Vice President of Product Development
and East
Coast Operations.

Triangle Park area, and Data Domain will need to continue

assets on both coasts with strong engineering talent to
fuel development of
its next generation technologies. Similarly, we gain the
infrastructure to
scale additional functions centric to our business model.

effort on the
east coast."
