Nvidia introduced DSX POD, a reference design for complete Nvidia Vera Rubin AI factories built by partners inside modular containers, integrated and validated before delivery.
The units arrive ready to connect out of the box to a prepared site’s power, cooling, networking and other supporting infrastructure, reducing deployment time from six months to as little as 14 days.
DSX POD moves the integration and installation of computing, networking, cabling, rack-level power and liquid cooling to the manufacturing facility, reducing the extensive planning, construction, specialized labor and logistics of a traditional onsite build. Factory-tested containers reduce exposure to component delays and costly, error-prone onsite work, creating a shorter path to model training and production inference so customers can begin generating tokens and earning revenue sooner.
“An AI factory creates value when it starts producing tokens — not when construction is complete,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO, Nvidia. “With Nvidia DSX POD, we’re bringing factory-built precision and speed to AI infrastructure construction — reducing deployment time from months to weeks so customers can scale capacity and bring revenue-generating production online faster.”

Factory-Built Infrastructure
Nvidia DSX POD brings Vera Rubin systems together with the infrastructure needed to operate them in repeatable, factory-built, containerized designs that partners can manufacture and deliver at scale.
It carries forward the design philosophy of the broader Nvidia DSX infrastructure platform, with a distinct architecture that integrates and validates systems in purpose-built containers before transport and deployment. Partners complete rack-to-rack cabling, wiring, piping and functional validation before shipment. This work takes place separately from site preparation, further shortening the time needed to bring new capacity online.
That earlier start to production is the link between deployment speed and economics. Time to first token marks when a new AI factory begins running models to serve production workloads, giving operators the opportunity to put their infrastructure to work for customers sooner.

Global Partner Ecosystem and Availability
Nvidia is working with Anduril, Armada, Bull, Crusoe, DayOne, Dell Technologies, Delta, Eaton, Foxconn (Ingrasys), Gigabyte, HPE, Lenovo, Pegatron, Quanta Cloud Technology (QCT), Schneider Electric, Vertiv and Wistron to deliver DSX POD AI factories worldwide in early 2027.

Nvidia is extending its ambitions beyond GPUs and accelerated computing to address the entire AI factory infrastructure lifecycle.
The company introduced DSX POD, a modular, factory-integrated AI infrastructure reference design, alongside new developments in its broader DSX platform targeting power efficiency, cooling, infrastructure automation and grid integration.

The announcements reflect a strategic shift: AI infrastructure competitiveness increasingly depends not only on computing performance but also on deployment speed, energy availability, operational efficiency and time to revenue. We see examples of neoclouds and others having serious difficulties to honor business orders and partnerships with significant delays to build datacenters so the IT dimension has an impact as well.
From Six Months to Just 14 Days
DSX POD introduces a standardized approach to building complete AI factories based on Nvidia's upcoming Vera Rubin architecture. Rather than assembling computing, networking, storage, power distribution and liquid cooling onsite, partners integrate and validate these components inside modular containers before delivery.
Nvidia claims this approach can reduce deployment time at a prepared site from approximately six months to as little as 14 days, accelerating the moment infrastructure begins generating production tokens.
A broad ecosystem, including Bull, Dell Technologies, HPE, Lenovo, Schneider Electric, Vertiv, Foxconn, Quanta and Wistron, will support manufacturing and deployment, with initial availability expected in early 2027.
Energy and Water Become Strategic Resources
The accompanying DSX announcements address Europe's increasingly constrained power infrastructure. Countries who made the choice of Nuclear-based plan to produce electricity are definitely in the right position, this energy being clean and very efficient.
Nvidia's liquid-cooling architecture, combined with closed-loop systems and dry coolers, can virtually eliminate cooling-related water consumption under suitable operating conditions. At a hypothetical 2GW deployment, Nvidia estimates potential savings of 54 million liters daily compared with conventional evaporative cooling.
DSX MaxLPS dynamically optimizes power allocation, potentially delivering the same AI output with up to 30% less electricity. In testing, Nscale achieved 49% higher inference throughput within an unchanged 264kW power budget.
DSX Flex adds grid-responsive workload management, enabling operators to adjust consumption according to electricity availability, pricing and grid conditions.
Meanwhile, DSX Sim, SimReady Central and DSX OS introduce digital twins, validated infrastructure models and automated operations, supporting more predictable deployments and improved resilience.
Market Perspective: Nvidia Expands Its Control Over the AI Infrastructure Stack
These announcements illustrate Nvidia's ambition to become the architectural reference for entire AI factories, extending its influence from silicon and networking into storage integration, energy management, cooling and facility operations.
For European infrastructure providers, DSX creates opportunities in modular manufacturing, engineering and deployment services. However, standardization around Nvidia architectures could also reinforce vendor dependence and limit differentiation.
The economic implications are significant. Faster deployment reduces capital immobilization, while improved energy efficiency increases revenue potential within fixed power budgets. Nvidia's emphasis on tokens per watt and time to first token establishes new metrics for evaluating AI infrastructure investments.
The power challenge is equally important. Nvidia cites more than $300B in backlogged equipment and over 200GW of projects awaiting grid connections in the United States. Partnerships with GE Vernova, Hitachi Energy, Schneider Electric and Siemens Energy illustrate how electrical infrastructure is becoming integral to AI computing strategy.
For Europe, DSX could accelerate sovereign AI infrastructure initiatives, although physical deployment within European borders does not automatically deliver technological sovereignty.
Ultimately, Nvidia is transforming the AI factory from a collection of infrastructure components into an integrated, software-managed industrial system. The next competitive battlefield will increasingly concern how quickly and efficiently operators convert electricity, infrastructure investment and data into commercially valuable AI output.
