IBC 2026: Evertz Showcases Flexible Media Core with ENX

Designed for 12G-SDI, SMPTE ST 2110 or hybrid environments, ENX gives broadcasters the flexibility to modernize infrastructure at their own pace while continuing to support established 12G-SDI UHD workflows. Facilities can begin with the technology they use today and transition toward IP in 32×32 blocks as operational requirements and budgets evolve.

Greater Density with ENX LQ
ENX LQ replaces traditional air cooling with a glycol-mix liquid cooling architecture designed to reduce the power required for system cooling while supporting greater processing density. The technology reclaims approximately 25% of system power previously used by cooling fans and enables more than four times the processing capacity per card.
Available across 11RU and 18RU configurations, ENX provides options for facilities with different capacity and space requirements. The 11RU frame supports up to 256×256 UHD while the 18RU frame supports up to 512×512 UHD. Multi-frame systems can scale to a 1536×1536 UHD non-blocking matrix using FX-LINK.
By increasing processing density while reducing cooling requirements, ENX LQ provides broadcasters with a more efficient way to expand processing capacity without continually increasing power, cooling and infrastructure demands.
Simplifying Hybrid SDI and IP Workflows
ENX can operate as a fully 12G-SDI router, a fully SMPTE ST 2110 core or any hybrid configuration in between. Hardware-based Network Address Translation (NAT) on every I/O allows ST 2110 flows to be configured and routed using familiar SDI-style workflows, reducing the operational complexity associated with IP infrastructure.
I/O modules support configurations from 10GbE to 400GbE and incorporate a Transparent PTP Clock, reducing reliance on additional network infrastructure. VBI switching also eliminates the need for Make-before-Break IP routing, helping conserve network bandwidth.
Advanced orchestration through MAGNUM-OS provides centralized control of the media core while maintaining familiar operational workflows.
Integrated Processing and Reliability
ENX integrates processing functions directly into its I/O modules, including frame synchronization, delay and multiviewing, reducing the need for separate external equipment. The platform also supports hitless and revertive failover, separate frame controllers, SMPTE ST 2022-7 and N+N load-distributing power supplies for missioncritical broadcast environments.
Together, the expanded ENX platform gives broadcasters a scalable path from SDI through hybrid and fully IP environments while addressing the infrastructure, power and operational requirements of increasingly dense media facilities.
