FMS 2026: OmniCore NAS: Fast All-SSD Storage with Local AI
Digiera introduces a modular, all-flash network-attached storage system with an integrated on-device AI engine, available in three configurations
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on August 6, 2026 at 2:00 pmDigiera, a Shenzhen-based storage technology company, unveiled OmniCore, a modular all-flash AI NAS, at the FMS: Future of Memory and Storage conference this week in Santa Clara, CA.
OmniCore is designed for anyone who needs faster, smarter, and more private control over their files. Built exclusively on M.2 NVMe SSDs, it delivers sustained transfer speeds approximately five times faster than comparable HDD-based network storage systems. Its integrated AI suite runs entirely on the device, helping users search, organize, and manage their files without relying on the cloud.
OmniCore will be available in three configurations: Base (56TB), Pro, and Ultra. Both the Pro and Ultra configurations support up to 176TB of storage, with 11 SSD slots accommodating up to 16TB per drive. This provides scalable capacity for everything from personal media libraries to demanding multi-user production workflows. The Base configuration includes AI Search and AI Album, while the Pro and Ultra configurations include the complete on-device AI suite, with no cloud API access, separate AI hardware, or additional software required.
“Storage should be fast, intelligent, and entirely yours. That is what we built.”
Most network-attached storage systems still rely on spinning hard drives, which can limit performance when working with large media files or supporting multiple users at once. In demanding production workflows, teams may need to transfer footage to local drives before editing can begin, adding extra steps and taking time away from the work itself.
AI-enabled NAS systems often introduce a different limitation. Their AI features may depend on cloud APIs, companion desktop software, or additional hardware to operate as advertised. OmniCore takes a self-contained approach, running its AI suite directly on the device without relying on external cloud services or separate processing hardware.
OmniCore also supports standard M.2 NVMe SSDs from multiple manufacturers, giving users the freedom to choose, replace, and expand their storage without proprietary drive lock-in or software-imposed capacity restrictions.

The Device
OmniCore is built entirely around M.2 NVMe SSDs, with no mechanical storage components. The Base configuration supports up to 56TB across six storage bays, while Pro and Ultra expand to ten storage bays with maximum capacities of 120TB and 176TB. Every configuration also includes a dedicated 128GB NVMe system drive in an additional M.2 slot.
Base includes dual 2.5GbE networking, two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one USB-A port, and 4K/60Hz HDMI output. Pro and Ultra add dual 10GbE networking, one Thunderbolt 4 port, two USB-C 4.0 ports, and 8K/60Hz HDMI output. Both configurations also support RAID 0, 1, 5, and 6 for greater flexibility across shared and demanding workflows.
OmniCore supports third-party M.2 NVMe SSDs, allowing users to choose and expand their storage without proprietary drive requirements or a certified-drive list.
OmniCore processes its built-in AI features locally using the device’s onboard AI compute. Files remain on the device during local AI use, without being sent to external servers.
The Base configuration includes AI Search and AI Album. The Pro and Ultra configurations include the complete suite:
- AI Search enables natural-language queries across the entire stored archive, returning results without reliance on file names or folder structure. Available on all configurations
- AI Album uses OCR and image recognition to identify objects, scenes, faces, and visible text across photo and video libraries, making individual files easier to retrieve without manual tagging. Available on all configurations
- AI Chat enables users to interact naturally with their stored documents, photos, and videos to summarize, translate, analyze, and discuss their content. Available on Pro and Ultra only
- AI Knowledge Base maintains a continuously updated index of all stored content and supports natural-language queries across the entire archive. Pro and Ultra only
- AI Transcription converts audio and video recordings into accurate text. Video-to-text is available on all configurations; audio-to-text is available on Pro and Ultra only
- AI Document Analysis extracts and analyzes content from stored documents, supporting review and summarization workflows. Pro and Ultra only
- AI File Assistant organizes content by date, location, people, file type, or user-defined rules. Users can also configure custom AI agents with specific instructions and scheduled tasks, then track their activity through the built-in task center. Pro and Ultra only
- AI Creative Assistant turns stored photos and videos into highlight reels, memory timelines, and narrative videos. It can also create text-based outputs such as summaries, travel guides, reports, and lesson plans. Pro and Ultra only
OmniCore’s built-in AI tools require no subscription. Pro and Ultra users can also connect supported third-party AI models using their own API keys at no additional cost. In the future, OmniCore plans to introduce optional Cloud AI plans that will provide access to multiple third-party AI models with an included token allowance. Cloud processing will remain optional and will only be used when enabled by the user.
Configurations
- Base provides up to 56TB of storage across six M.2 NVMe bays. It is powered by an eight-core Rockchip RK3588 processor with 6 TOPS of AI performance, paired with 8 GB of LPDDR5 memory. Dual 2.5GbE networking supports wired transfer speeds of up to 760MB/s, while 4K HDMI output and video-to-text transcription support everyday storage, media, and AI workflows. Includes AI Search and AI Album
- Pro expands capacity to 176TB across ten M.2 NVMe bays. It combines an Intel Core Ultra 5 325H processor with 87 TOPS of AI performance and 32GB of LPDDR5 memory. Thunderbolt 4, dual 10GbE networking, RAID 0/1/5/6, 8K HDMI output, and audio- and video-to-text transcription support faster, more demanding individual and shared workflows
- Ultra offers up to 176TB across ten M.2 NVMe bays. Powered by an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor with 16 cores, up to 180 TOPS, and 64GB of LPDDR5 memory, it supports local LLM inference, virtual machines, containers, and collaborative 4K and 8K editing. Dual 10GbE networking and Thunderbolt 4 provide the bandwidth required for intensive multi-user environments
