The latest update to Archiware P5 delivers major advancements across cloud integration, project restore, storage monitoring, security, and user interface design.
With P5 Synchronize, users can now schedule data replication and migration between storage hosts and any S3-compatible object storage. On-prem production storage can easily be replicated as a remote backup of live data. Additionally, asset distribution for collaborative teams is streamlined and data sovereignty strengthened by restoring cloud-hosted content to full local control.
In P5 Archive, the new Project Restore feature streamlines media recovery by importing project files and automatically restoring all referenced media. The intelligent parsing facilitates media restore even when file paths have changed. This new version also supports bulk processing and selective version recovery, as well as controlled deletion of long-term archived data. Performance is further boosted with true parallel preview generation, accelerating ingest workflows by processing previews simultaneously across all available hosts. LTO hardware encryption adds robust, drive-level AES-256 protection for archived data, providing compliance at maximum performance.
The P5 Archive DLM add-on introduces advanced project-based storage monitoring with customizable queries. Users can track archive growth, analyze usage trends, and optimize storage allocation. The updated dashboard further improves visualization of storage usage per project and long-term trends over time.
