Nvidia GTC DC 2025: Mirantis Accelerates Secure, Compliant AI Adoption as Part of Nvidia AI Factory for Government
k0rdent AI empowers agencies to deploy mission-critical, compliant AI with speed and security
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 3, 2025 at 2:01 pmAt Nvidia GTC 25, Mirantis, Inc. announced the company has been selected as a collaborator in the Nvidia AI Factory for Government reference design to accelerate deployments of AI agents and applications in federal and enterprise deployments.
Together, Mirantis and Nvidia Corp. give government agencies a trusted foundation for mission-critical AI deployments – enabling them to innovate faster, maintain control, and uphold the highest standards of security and compliance.
According to a July 2025 GAO report, 10 out of 12 government agencies cite existing federal policies, including data privacy regulations, as challenges to deploying AI. State, local, and municipal governments – along with their supporting IT and services vendors – require scalable, repeatable technology that enables them to securely and compliantly harness AI capabilities.
To help agencies overcome these barriers, Mirantis has collaborated with Nvidia to operationalize the Nvidia AI Factory for Government reference design through Mirantis k0rdent AI. The collaboration brings together FIPS– and STIG-compliant infrastructure components in a unified, secure experience giving agencies the ability to stand up AI infrastructure and services securely while maintaining full alignment with federal IT and data policies.
“By integrating Mirantis k0rdent AI with Nvidia technology, platform architects and MLOps engineers gain access to an AI infrastructure management that supports scalable AI workloads and inference application hosting, all while ensuring security and compliance at scale,” said Kevin Kamel, VP, product management, Mirantis. “This integration empowers organizations to confidently accelerate their AI initiatives within governed environments.”
The Nvidia AI Factory for Government reference design provides guidance for an end-to-end platform built on Nvidia AI infrastructure and qualified solutions like Mirantis k0rdent AI. It helps agencies and enterprises to deploy AI factories either on-premises or in hybrid cloud environments while supporting diverse AI workloads – like GenAI, inference, and high-performance computing – without sacrificing the assurance, scalability, or control required for mission-critical operations.
k0rdent AI automates provisioning, lifecycle management, and multi-tenant orchestration across compute, network, storage, and GPU resources. Automated deployment workflows and validated templates accelerate application delivery while also ensuring consistent, compliant deployments. Designed to meet Federal, State, Local, and Education (SLED) requirements, k0rdent AI streamlines operations through built-in authentication, observability, and auditing – with required core services such as DNS, IDM, and VPN.
Mirantis has a long track record of providing accredited, STIG- and FedRAMP-aligned solutions for federal and defense customers. Its technologies are certified across Linux and Windows environments, supporting full-stack lifecycle management – including in air-gapped, classified, or disconnected infrastructures.
