Jabil Launches J 422g Servers

The J-422G server processor’s microarchitecture is optimized to meet diverse performance and efficiency requirements where workload optimized accelerators, cloud scale out, and mature support for the server ecosystem is critical. These servers are designed specifically to power high workloads across AI, ML, Large Language Models (LLMs), HPC, and fintech.

These high-performance 6th Gen Xeon 2U Dual Socket MHS rackmount servers support up to 4x600W double-wide front GPUs. This solution aligns to the Open Compute Project (OCP)’s standards-based approach to server design for sustainability and scalability.

General availability of the J-422G servers is expected to begin in November 2025.

Jabil’s role in the AI hardware ecosystem goes beyond building servers. As our customers’ trusted engineering-led manufacturing partner, we help hyperscalers grow with confidence and speed starting from integration,” said Ed Bailey, CTO, intelligent infrastructure, Jabil. “With our unique set of technologies and capabilities, matched by our global scale, we are well positioned to deliver the next generation of data center and networking solutions.”

This product release builds on the company’s recent announcement of a multi-year $500 million investment in a new site in Salisbury, NC, to support cloud and AI data center infrastructure customers. The site is expected to be operational by mid-calendar year 2026.

Jabil at Open Compute Project (OCP) Global Summit
Jabil server platforms will be shown at the 2025 OCP Global Summit, Oct. 13-16, at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, C
A. In addition to the J422-G, the following products and more will be displayed at the firm’s booth C12:

  • J421A-G, which showcases an AmpereOne M reference design that is OCP-compliant based on Jabil S-DNO building blocks and purpose-built for AI inference at scale.

J322OR 2U scalable all-flash storage

Jabil J322or

  • J322OR, a 2U scalable all-flash storage design based on Open Rack v3 specs and engineered for hyperscale efficiency.

  • Jabil’s co-packaged optics (CPO) switch system is based on the Marvell Teralynx switch device for AI scale-up, integrated with Mikros Technologies‘ precision-engineered liquid cooling for optimal thermal performance.

Additionally, the company thought leaders will host speaking sessions on topics around Jabil’s early adopter position in the OCP working groups, including modular plug-and-play, edge-MHS, next-gen co-packaged optics, and liquid-to-chip cooling at the 1 MW frontier from Mikros Technologies, a Jabil company.
