Hydrolix Appoints Former Googler Sunil Potti to Board of Directors

Enterprise security and data infrastructure executive brings deep expertise in scaling cloud and security platforms to support Hydrolix growth

Hydrolix Inc., the company optimizing the economics and performance of log-driven observability and edge security through its streaming data lake platform, announced that Sunil Potti, former Google executive and veteran technology leader, has joined its board of directors.

Potti brings more than two decades of leadership in enterprise software, cloud security and data infrastructure. Most recently, he served as general manager and vice president of cloud security at Google Cloud, where he was responsible for both securing Google Cloud Platform while also bringing best-in-class, multi-cloud security services to enterprise customers globally. Before Google, he was chief product and development officer at Nutanix and VP/GM of the Citrix NetScaler business during multiple years of record growth. He holds a B.E. in computer science from Osmania University and an M.S. in computer science from Pennsylvania State University.

“Sunil’s track record of scaling category-defining platforms and his insights into cloud, edge and security markets make him an invaluable addition to our board,” said Marty Kagan, CEO and co-founder, Hydrolix. “His perspective will be critical as we expand our footprint with Global 2000 enterprises and continue to establish Hydrolix as the data lake platform for the AI era.”

Potti said he was drawn to Hydrolix by the opportunity to collaborate again with Kagan and the leadership team.

“Hydrolix has built a real-time, planet-scale data architecture that is already transforming CDN and cloud deployments for some of the world’s largest enterprises,” he said. “As AI-native and data-heavy applications proliferate, the need for insights at scale will increase exponentially. Hydrolix has the technology and vision to become a foundational data platform, much like Snowflake was a decade ago.”

The appointment follows a year of significant momentum for Hydrolix. The company closed an $80 million Series C financing round, expanded its customer base globally, and received industry recognition for its streaming data lake platform, which delivers real-time query performance at terabyte scale while reducing log data storage and processing costs. Customers use Hydrolix for a wide range of data-intensive applications, including security, observability, content delivery, digital advertising, AI and regulatory compliance.
