FMS 2025: H3 Platform Debuts CXL Memory Sharing and Pooling Solution
Ready for All Customers, the platform helps enterprises expand memory, optimize performance, and reduce costs - all with simplicity and flexibility
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on August 6, 2025 at 2:01 pmH3 Platform, Inc. announced that its CXL Memory Sharing and Pooling Platform is ready for deployment, and will make its official debut at The Future of Memory and Storage 2025 (FMS 2025), held from August 5 to 7 in Santa Clara, CA. The platform helps enterprises expand memory, optimize performance, and reduce costs — all with simplicity and flexibility.
Supporting the latest CXL (Compute Express Link) 1.1 and 2.0 standards, this solution offers 3 flexible deployment modes, covering everything from memory expansion on a single host to shared memory across multiple servers. The platform has already been successfully tested by pilot customers in real-world scenarios, including AI training clusters and in-memory database environments, demonstrating exceptional performance gains and deployment flexibility.
Three Modes Designed for Different Enterprise Scenarios
- Direct-attached Mode: Ideal for systems with stable memory demands. A single host connects to external memory modules — as easy as adding RAM to a server.
- Pooling Mode: Multiple hosts dynamically allocate and utilize a shared memory pool. The system automatically manages allocation per host. This mode has been successfully deployed in the AI development platform of a major Asia-based cloud provider, boosting overall hardware utilization efficiency.
- VCS (Virtual CXL Switch) Mode: An advanced architecture that allows multiple hosts to simultaneously read/write from the same memory module, while remaining logically isolated. This mode has been verified in financial-sector in-memory databases, supporting high-speed queries and concurrent transactions — showcasing the value of shared memory in high-performance data environments.
“Our mission in developing this platform was to help enterprises upgrade their memory architecture in a smarter, more cost-effective way — from single-host expansion to flexible, data center-level deployment in one unified solution.” said Brian Pan, CEO, H3 Platform
Simple Operation, No Engineering Expertise Required
H3 offers an intuitive user interface that makes deployment easy, regardless of technical background.
-
CLI (Command Line Interface): For experienced IT staff who need full control.
GUI (Graphical User Interface): A visual interface for quick setup, money allocation, and monitoring — ideal for non-technical users.
FMS 2025 Demo Highlights at AIC #813 and Samsung #407 include:
- Static display of the physical CXL Memory Solution devices and related peripheral components
- Demo video showcasing shared memory pooling across four servers, demonstrating CLI-based operation
- Visualization of CXL-based memory pooling topology
- Real-world pilot use case insights in AI training and in-memory databases
