HPE Discover 2024: Kioxia Showcasing SSDs and Demos on HPE ProLiant/Alletra Platforms

Including CM7 Series Enterprise E3.S NVMe SSDs running Milvus Vector database for AI workloads, RM7 Series Value SAS SSDs running MinIO scale out storage workload, CD8P Series Data Center E3.S SSDs running DL I/O benchmark for AI, and PM7 Series Enterprise SAS SSDs running SUSE Harvester HCI

At HPE Discover 2024, Kioxia Corp. will be on hand to highlight the critical role its broad lineup of next-gen SSDs is playing in the modernization of today’s data centers, even in space.

Hpe Discover 2024 Kioxia Intro

The company has been collaborating with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) to create storage solutions for years. The firm’s storage solutions can be found optimizing HPE solutions across multiple product lines, from the edge to the cloud to AI computing.

We eagerly anticipate HPE Discover each year, as it highlights the powerful synergies created when companies collaborate to leverage their cutting-edge technologies,” noted Neville Ichhaporia, SVP and GM, SSD business unit, Kioxia. “This year, Kioxia and HPE are showcasing how our joint innovations in PCIe Gen 5, EDSFF SSDs, and 24Gb SAS can provide customers with reliable, high-performance, sustainable storage solutions. Together, we enable data center evolution and support more digitally-focused strategies, driving compute and storage modernization from the edge to the cloud to AI.”

Product and technology demo will be given in the Kioxia booth on the show floor at the Venetian Conference and Expo Center in Las Vegas, NV, from June 17–20.

Live booth demonstrations (on HPE ProLiant/Alletra platforms) include:

Other demonstrations include:

  • Spaceborne Computer-2 program: Demonstrating how HPE and Kioxia are working together on the HPE Spaceborne Computer-2 initiative in the International Space Station (ISS)
  • Value SAS SSDs: Featuring their price/performance value in a real-world workload – and showing a clear path away from aging SATA technology
  • EDSFF E3: Specs were developed by companies that include HPE and Kioxia to optimize SSD designs for capacity, power, performance, and thermal/cooling – and to replace 2.5-inch form factor (1) SSDs

Kioxia will participate in several speaking sessions and panel discussions that focus on its new products and its longstanding collaboration with HPE, including:

  • Breakout session: HPE and Kioxia: Storage Solutions for AI, Cloud and Space Date: June 18 (BB7065) and June 19 (BB7066)
Description: This session looks at the next frontier of computing, with a special focus on managing workloads and data from the cloud to the edge – even to the edge of space. Dr. Mark Fernandez, HPE, will detail HPE’s collaboration with Kioxia on the latest Spaceborne-2 initiative with the International Space Station (ISS). Back on Earth, the 2 companies are collaborating on storage solutions that enable next-gen workloads, including vector databases for RAG AI.

  • Expo hall AI theater presentation: Kioxia and HPE: Innovation from the Data Center to Space
    Date: June 19  (T7067)
Description: HPE’s Fernandez will explain how HPE, Kioxia and NASA are working together on the Spaceborne Computer-2 initiative, which utilizes high performance computing to speed research at the ISS. Learn how Kioxia SSDs are playing a role in Spaceborne, and also how Kioxia storage solutions are enabling the next phase of digital transformation with HPE.

Kioxia is also sponsoring the HPE Discover 2024 Celebration at The Sphere, headlined by Dead & Company.
