History 2004: Scott McGregor President and CEO, Broadcom

Broadcom named Scott McGregor, 48, president and CEO, effective January 3, 2005, succeeding Alan “Lanny” Ross who had held the positions since January 2003 and will now retire.

McGregor leaves Philips Semiconductor, where he has been president and CEO since September 2001, because he wants to return to USA.
