Korea University Research and Business Foundation, Seoul, Korea, has been assigned a patent (11899958) developed by Lee, Dong Hoon, and Ahn, Na Young, Seoul, Korea, for a “method for discarding personal information in NAND flash memory.“

The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: “A method for discarding personal information comprises at least one among partial overwriting, SLC programming, and applying an erase pulse.
