Inventec (Pudong) Technology Corporation, Shanghai, China, and Inventec Corporation, Taipei, Taiwan, has been assigned a patent (11854577) developed by Zhang, Tian-Chao, Shanghai, China, for “hard disk device simulator, testing system using hard disk device simulators and testing method thereof.“
The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: “A hard disk device simulator, a testing system using the hard disk device simulator and a testing method thereof are disclosed. The hard disk device simulator having a detection circuit is serially connected to a test port of a device under test, and a test program is executed on the device under test to read a signal link status of an insertion slot of the device under test and transmit a detection command through the test port, to drive a detection circuit of the hard disk device simulator to detect signals on a power pin, a clock pin and a system management bus, to generate a detection result, thereby verifying correctness of the device under test based on the signal link status and the detection result. As a result, the technical effect of reducing the cost of testing the device under test can be achieved.”

Inventec (Pudong) Technology Corporation, Shanghai, China, and Inventec Corporation, Taipei, Taiwan, has been assigned a patent (11853180) developed by Bai, Yuan, and Liu, Fu-Cheng, Shanghai, China, for a “process detection system for rack and server in rack.“
The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: “A process detection system for rack and server in rack is disclosed. In the system, a detection device performs a server process detection of L10 stage on servers in a rack, and performs a rack process detection of L11 stage, when the detection device detects that a server in the rack fails in a server process during the server process detection of L10 stage or that the rack fails in a rack process during the rack process detection of L11 stage, the server is repaired, or replaced by a backup server. Before the detection flow is performed continuously, the server process detection of L10 stage is performed on the repaired server, or the backup server not performing the server process detection of L10 stage yet, and then. The detection flow can be performed continuously on the backup server which has performed the server process detection of L10 stage.”
