Western Digital Faces Allegations of Failing to Protect Personal Information in Cyberattack

A recent cyberattack on Western Digital Corp. has resulted in allegations that the company failed to adequately protect the personal information of its hard-drive and data storage users. Although most of the plaintiffs’ claims were initially dismissed Judge Edward J. Davila of the US District Court for the Northern District of California, their claim of unjust enrichment has survived.
