History (1990): Seagate and Conner Resolves Dispute
Over supplies of thin-film read-write recording heads
By Jean Jacques Maleval | December 12, 2019 at 1:56 pmSeagate Technology Inc. (Scotts Valley, CA) and Conner Peripherals Inc. (San Jose, CA), announced on June 25 that they had agreed to resolve their disputes over supplies of thin-film read-write recording heads.
As part of the resolution, Seagate will furnish Conner with thin-film recording heads until early 1991 on typical industry terms and conditions.
Conner will dismiss its lawsuit vs. Seagate filed in April, and both parties will release each other from all claims related to the dispute.
The 2 companies have agreed that neither will make any further comment on the issues raised by the lawsuit, now resolved, or on the terms of the agreement.
