Bill Lipsin VP Global Channel Sales, Cohesity

Former NetApp, Brocade and CA executive

LipsinCohesity, Inc. appointed Bill Lipsin as VP of global channel sales.

 

 

In this role, he will accelerate the company’s growing channel partner ecosystem. He will be responsible for go-to-market strategy, channel programs, enablement, and distribution channels. Company’s offerings are sold exclusively through channel partners.

Lipsin brings more than 25 years of enterprise channel, sales, and marketing expertise. He was most recently a senior partner at The Spur Group, a consulting firm helping companies optimize channels, end-user sales, and business operations to increase revenues. Prior that, he was VP of WW channels at NetApp, where he played a role in empowering partners globally to grow revenues and deepen engagements with organizations across an array of industries. He also held senior channel leadership positions at Brocade and CA Technologies.

Along with his industry experience, he has success in developing partner ecosystems that help partners deliver more value to customers. Throughout his career, he has led the development of global channel organizations.

Cohesity channel partners experienced success in FY19. Of those active channel partners that booked business with Cohesity during the period, nearly 70% grew their business in excess of 100% during that time, while more than 50% grew their business by more than 200%.

In addition, the company transitioned to a software business model and increased software revenues by more than 100% Y/Y. In the last two quarters, more than 50% of new contracts were recurring, emphasizing the success of a subscription-based software model.
