OpenIO Distributed by TwoFive

In Japan

OpenIO SAS, in open source object storage, announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with TwoFive, Inc., a Japanese security solutions provider.

The distribution agreement enables OpenIO to expand the footprint of their object storage solution in Japan.

TwoFive develops end-to-end messaging and messaging security solutions, and also provides a range of storage-based solutions for Japanese service providers and large enterprises. Itss partnership with OpenIO will allow the company to offer a solution to the Japanese market that includes OpenIO SDS, an open-source object storage system.

OpenIO SDS includes a Conscience technology that provides smart and dynamic placement policies. This means that customers can scale without the need to re-balance their data, and at a lower TCO. It also simplifies the deployment in on-premise or cloud environments, and because OpenIO SDS is hardware agnostic, it allows for a flexible expansion model.

OpenIO’s CEO Laurent Denel said: “We are excited to grow our presence in Japan, and the TwoFive partnership demonstrates our commitment to this market. Working with TwoFive give us access to a nation-wide distribution network through multiple Japanese Tier 1 system integrators.

Data is a key asset for our customers, and we are very pleased to be able to offer our Japanese customers a reliable, scalable, open source object storage solution,” says Nobuhiro Suemasa, CEO, TwoFive.

OpenIO and TwoFive exhibited together at the Japan IT Week on May 8-10, 2019.
