Jacques Issa was named senior VP of strategic marketing and Shane Mortazavi was appointed VP of operations.

Jacques Issa comes to Virtium with two decades of experience in semiconductor technology and marketing. He recently partnered with several IoT security ventures and prior to that, served as VP and business unit manager at Microsemi Corp., heading large-scale industrial embedded business units. He holds both bachelor’s and master’s of science degrees in electrical engineering from Purdue University. He will be responsible for Virtium’s expansion of embedded industrial module offerings across its targeted vertical markets.
Shane Mortazavi has more than 25 years of experience in international manufacturing operations and supply chain management, with profit-and-loss responsibility, serving the electronics, commercial, aerospace, automotive, energy and telecommunications industries. He most recently held the position of VP of global operations at Emcore, Inc., where he was responsible for global manufacturing, supply chain and logistics. He previously served as VP of operations at STEC, Inc., as well as operations-management positions at General Monitors and Thomas & Betts Corp. He holds a bachelor’s of science degree (with honors) in industrial engineering and operations research and a master’s of science degree in industrial engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He will be responsible for worldwide expansion of Virtium’s production operations.
