Qnap NAS Supports JumpCloud's Directory-as-a-Service for Simplified User Management and Authentication

Qnap Systems, Inc. announced support for JumpCloud (DaaS), a cloud-based identity and access management platform which enables secure single-sign-on to workstations and servers, on-premise and cloud-based applications, wifi and VPN networks, and file shares.

It also integrates with core business apps including G Suite, Office 365, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, SalesForce and thousands of other applications and services due to native support of standard protocols such as LDAP, RADIUS, and SAML 2.0.

Businesses can benefit from a cloud-based platform with flexibility and cost effectiveness, while IT teams and organization members can work productively for user management with access to various applications, devices and networks.

JumpCloud’s cloud-based LDAP service provides an online directory that requires no server infrastructure and makes efficient identity and access management process better across the board and easier to scale. By integrating JumpCloud’s LDAP-as-a-Service with a the company’s NAS, users can securely access shared folders on the NAS via JumpCloud’s support for Samba/SMB using Windows or macOS clients.
