This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on July 6, 2017 at 2:17 pmNewegg, Inc., a e-retailer in North America and a force in e-commerce, unveiled that it is the exclusive lead launch partner for the Intel SSD 545s Series.

As Intel’s first-to-market partner, Newegg will sell the full line of Intel SSD 545s Series into the company’s growing base of 32 million customers in 50 countries.
“The Intel SSD 545s Series is yet another example of Intel delivering the products our customers expect,” said Merle McIntosh, SVP sales and marketing, Newegg. “The Intel SSD 545s Series is perfect for a variety of DIY projects, from upgrading existing computers to fresh PC builds.“
The SSD 545s Series is designed for a range of customer platforms across multiple segments. Low power consumption and compact design make the drives suited for mobile and space-conscious computing – for upgrading existing computers or incorporating into new PC builds.
The SSD 545s Series is available in the 512GB capacity, with additional capacities available in the near future. It features 64-layer Intel 3D NAND technology, making it a cost-effective and reliable replacement for traditional HDDs. With higher density than other NAND-based media currently in production, it transforms storage economics by enabling greater capacity with a cost/GB that approaches the cost of HDDs.
“We’re pleased to have Newegg as our launch partner as we bring the Intel SSD 545s Series to market,” said Chris Tobias, director, SSD channel marketing, Intel. “We are very excited to bring the world’s first commercially available 64-layer, TLC, Intel 3D NAND SSD to market through Newegg. Newegg’s tech-savvy customers are quick to adopt the latest technology, and we’re confident they’ll embrace the Intel SSD 545s Series for all their computing needs.“
