Infortrend SFF EonStor DS 1036B Storage System

Infortrend Technology, Inc. released a small form factor (SFF) storage system EonStor DS 1036B, designed to fulfill the demands of maximizing performance and efficiency for entry level users of high rotational speed SAS 2.5″ HDDs.

With 2.5″ drives overtaking 3.5″ 15,000rpm SAS drives, entry-level users are facing the challenging of finding replacement systems for the better performance drives support. Infortrend, with its track record in quality SFF storage systems, understands the needs and released their 3U 36-bay EonStor DS 1036B storage to offer better performance with high performance 2.5″ SAS drives, and also higher efficiency, lower operating costs since the 3U 36-bay storage system needs less space (footprint) and lower power consumption thanks to its high density SFF system enclosure.

In addition to its performance advantages with 2.5″ SAS drives, EonStor DS 1036B also offers flexibility through its hybrid host interface which provides 16 or 8Gb/s FC, 10 or 1Gb/s iSCSI and 12 or 6Gb SAS host ports for maximum connectivity, as well as high scalability with support for up to 324 drives via JBOD expansion enclosures.
