Syncplicity Data Hub Available
For enterprises modernizing IT infrastructure to reduce costs and empower mobile workforce
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on May 5, 2016 at 2:59 pmSyncplicity LLC announced the availability of Data Hub, a tool for enterprises modernizing their IT infrastructure to reduce costs and empower the mobile workforce.
This Data Hub connects to over 30 data sources, including legacy file shares, SharePoint and all major enterprise content management (ECM) systems, while automating the process of file migration from these systems to the firm’s platform.
Data Hub is easily deployed and configured to migrate, copy and synchronize files rapidly and at enterprise scale from home directories, group shares and dozens of content repositories to company’s StorageVaults located in public cloud, private cloud or on-premises storage. Integrity of folder structures, metadata, permissions and dcument versions is preserved so employees have anywhere, anytime desktop and mobile access to all their documents without changing how they work. IT departments can set granular filters on which files are included in the migration, allowing the exclusion of unwanted content, from files employees are storing in violation of IT policy to outdated files that have remained unused for a long period.
“CIOs are under pressure to quickly enable user adoption of digital tools and replace legacy storage with the latest, much cheaper, consolidated storage options to modernize IT and realize significant cost savings,” said Jonathan Huberman, CEO, Syncplicity. “Syncplicity Data Hub scales to manage any migration, even petabytes of data. By automating this process, we make it easy for companies and IT departments to get started right away on their all-important digital transformation by rapidly moving users and their content to Syncplicity’s secure, policy-driven hybrid cloud file sync and share solution. Syncplicity enables further cost savings by replacing legacy backup systems and maintains instant file synchronization across all devices.“
In addition to enabling content migration, the firm’s Data Hub powers content connections between the company and corporate ECM systems, eDiscovery platforms, secure search engines and content generating applications.
